Arabic Writing Zone

Arabic is a language at the forefront of the modern world, and often for very negative reasons. Those in the Western World are bombarded everyday with frightening news reports about dangerous people who speak this language and therefore it's almost become taboo. It's a language that's in serious need of liberation.

The Arabic script is a beautiful writing system that few in America have studied. There is so much about the Arabic language and culture that goes unnoticed.

And because Arabic is the language of Islam and Islam is so often associated with violence, few people want to learn it. Hate, anger, and fear keep our cultures apart, but the truth is, those who speak Arabic are not our enemy and we are not their enemy. It's all propaganda.

My goal is to introduce you to the world of Arabic and the languages that use this alphabet. Each Arabic writing lesson focuses on several letters and how they are used in everday words.

My hope is that more and more people will discover the beauty of Arabic and gradually, all those damaging stereotypes will fade away. It may seem like a lofty goal, but knowledge is power, and this is what Foreign Language Liberation is all about. Click here to begin Arabic Writing Lesson 1
